Support Your PA

Attend Events

The #1 way to support the PA is simply to turn up.

Our PA runs a series of fun, family-friendly monthly and yearly events throughout the year and seeks to build a community of Parents and Carers who connect and support each other during their Child(ren)’s primary school education. Our PA also aims to help our school fundraise for improvements and offerings it cannot otherwise afford. Through attendance, we help our PA achieve both important goals and we all reap the benefits. You and your family are invited!

Engage with PA volunteers or Attend a Meeting

Talk to the people running the monthly cake stall, speak to fellow parents, read the minutes from the last PA meeting, email your class rep, or turn up to a PA meeting. When you find out a little about the PA, you might find there’s a role that suits you. A good way to start finding out about PA activities is to become a class rep – class reps communicate key dates in your classroom and the PA via WhatsApp and email. Our PA belongs to everyone.

Volunteer

Much of the PA’s current work is done by a small group of volunteers who need more help – whether it’s help with the lead up to an event or volunteering at the event itself. Please pitch in where you can – all help is welcome and no particular experience or qualifications are necessary. Perhaps you can offer to write an email, pick up supplies, serve drinks, run a stall, help organise an event or initiative, update the website or launder clothes for the monthly used uniform stall. Join the general list of volunteers, without whom the many social and fundraising events could not take place, or email us.

For each PA event, you can sign up to volunteer online. This is where you can read about the event, choose a role and time slot and see who else is volunteering. You will receive a reminder email about your commitment closer to the event time.

Shop!

We’ve partnered with shopping sites that donate a portion of your shopping proceeds to the school.  These include EasyFundraising and StamptasticEasyFundraising turns your everyday online shopping into FREE donations when you shop with over 3,600 retailers such as Amazon, eBay, John Lewis, Argos, NEXT and Booking.com.  Stamptastic offers personalised stamps for children’s clothing and uniforms. They are the most hassle-free and eco-friendly way to label your kids uniform.  The school will receive 15% of your purchase, as long as you use the coupon code N52UX or the link above.

Seek Corporate Support

Some companies will match donations or offer grants for volunteer time to charities.  Why not ask your employer if they offer a similar programme?  Our registration number with the Charity Commission is 1107718 and the donation form is here: PA Subs Form 2021

Join the Committee

Please consider putting yourself forward for one of the PA Roles on the Committee, such as Chair or Treasurer. Click on the above link to read role descriptions. The Committee is elected at the AGM held at school in the autumn term and roles are generally held for one year. It’s important to have new volunteers at the start of each academic year to ensure the PA and all its activities can continue. The PA Committee thrives on fresh ideas and enthusiasm – Get in touch.

Take on an informal volunteer role for one year

From organising the Recycled Uniform Sale dates, to designing event posters or becoming the event volunteer coordinator, there is a role to suit your particular talents and interests. Most of these roles involve only an hour of work a few times a year and can be done from home. Please check out the available roles here.

Donate

In addition to the money raised by events, the PA welcomes direct donations, which is the only income against which we can receive Gift Aid. This means that for every £1 of money donated, the school will receive an extra 25p. To make a donation, choose one of these options:

    • Donate with open banking using your phone by clicking the button below:

  • Donate by bank transfer, check or cash by filling in a donation form (PA Subs Form 2021)
  • Donate online with your credit/debit card via our fundraising page on GoFundMe. Please note that the GoFundMe platform charges a percentage fee, so if you are considering a large donation, please use the donation form or open banking if possible.

All contributions, large or small, are very welcome!
