Cake and Book sale at school

This Friday we will have the first parent-run cake sale since before the pandemic and we can’t wait! To mark the occasion, we are combining it with a book sale for the children.

Please bring any primary school age books that your children have outgrown (no baby books, please) to the school office anytime until Thursday at 12pm. DO NOT BRING CAKES UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING.

On Thursday afternoon, parent volunteers will sort the books, decide which ones will go to the school or classroom libraries, and organize the remaining books for the book sale the following morning.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

This event won’t be able to go ahead unless we have enough parent volunteers. The shifts are:

  • Thursday 1pm-3pm
  • Friday 8:30pm-11pm

Clich here to sign up.
Younger siblings are welcome!

On Friday morning, children should bring £1 or £2 and please leave your store-bought individual cakes and leave them on the table in the playground. We will hopefully return to homemade cakes in the next academic year!

As always, no nuts and if your child has any allergies, label their cake with their name and class letter.

UPDATE:
A huge thank you to everyone who donated or volunteered. Here is a message from the school:
“The book and cake sale was a great success. There were so many lovely books donated to the school and the children were very excited about their new books.

Please can you pass on our thanks to the amazing parent volunteers! Those who came in on Thursday afternoon did a great job in organising the books in the hall and the parents who came in today ensured that both events ran smoothly. It was wonderful to have parents back on site for this and we look forward to welcoming them in again soon.”
