Year 3 and 4 Sportshall  Athletics Champs!

Last half term, our fastest, springiest and strongest group of year 3 and 4 children went to compete against the rest of the borough at the Sportshall Athletics Championships. The mixed team of 10 boys and 10 girls trialled and trained at school with the help of the year 5 and 6 athletics team. They competed in a range of events such as sprint relays, obstacle races, hurdles, chest push, javelin and jumps.

The children behaved fantastically well on and off the track and were a credit to our school. After a hard fought day of competing, SJA finished comfortably on top and were awarded gold medals! Congratulations to Ify, Oliver, Orlando, Daniel, Joseph, Seb, Patrick, Alex, Mathias, David, Azara, Betty, Mary, Nyla, Aldana, Scarlet, Zofia, Cecilia, Hosanna and Alexa – you were all incredible!
