Year 2 Local Area Trip

In Geography this term Year 2 are studying ‘Where food comes from?’. To start our topic, we went on a walk in our local area so that the children could appreciate the range of places food comes from and see sources of food locally. We spoke about how we could tell from the front of the store what we would find inside and recorded the number of different shops available in our neighbourhood. The children enjoyed their learning and represented St Joan of Arc amazingly, displaying the school value of respect when engaging with shops keepers and restaurant workers. Well done Year 2!
