Islington Schools Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Tournament

At the end of November, SJA competed in an Islington schools Year 5 and 6 tag rugby tournament. In the group stage, we won all three of our games, playing with great courage and determination, meaning that we qualified for the final round of matches.

 

During the final round, we had three fixtures. The first of these we won 3-1. This was a tough game but the children played really well, and in the end, were deserved winners. The second game we unfortunately lost 4-2. This was a particularly tough game against another talented team. We then finished on a high, winning our final game 4-3. Winning two of these games meant that we finished in second place which is an excellent achievement.

 

The team played some excellent tag rugby and represented our school really well. They should all be proud of their excellent efforts!
