Our Curriculum
We want all children to develop a strong grasp of the academic understanding, personal skills and cultural knowledge that will help them thrive and succeed in life. Our pupils learn an appreciation of how things interrelate and develop a curiosity about a wide variety of human discovery and achievement. Above all, we want our children to develop an appreciation of the uniqueness of themselves and other individuals, made and loved by God as they are, and for them to learn about the wonderful diversity of our local, national and global communities.
Maths
By supporting children to become fluent with the fundamentals of maths, we help them confidently and independently apply these skills when reasoning and problem solving.
English
It is our ambition that every child at St Joan of Arc school is taught to read easily and with understanding.
Religious Education
Central to our culture as a school is our Catholic Faith. Guided by the teachings of Christ, we encourage our children to be respectful and courageous and, through kindness and love, serve God and each other.
Humanities & Languages
These subjects teach the children key facts and skills that help them to make sense of the world as it is now, and learn from important events from the past.
